Hello again! What a great Sunday! Satan tried his best to thwart what God wanted to do here. Our music director's wife got sick on Wednesday and was in the hospital for a couple of days. She has some sort of virus that is causing her to have severe acid reflux and she is therefore not able to eat. Pray for her as she is still trying to get over this. She is at home, but is still having some issues.

Then there was the issues going on at my house. The house two doors down from us was hosting a graduation party. It started at 1 PM on Saturday, and was still going on when I was finally able to fall asleep from the thumping of the bass music around 2:30 AM. Then one of my children had a nightmare at 4:30 AM and the music was still going on. Then when I left for church around 6 AM, still more music.

So I was tired, not feeling well, no music director and flying pretty much blind. Then God came in...as He always does...and the Spirit empowered us to share His heart to His people. God moved as we looked at the Lord's prayer and understood just what it meant to honor His name. It was something that I wasn't really feeling comfortable with, but I knew God wanted me to say it. So be encouraged, my brothers and sisters! We are being molded for a future use. Don't fight it, but rejoice in it...no matter how painful!

 

God wants to use YOU to advance HIS Kingdom in HIS power for HIS glory! Embrace His Mission. Embody His Name. Obey His Word. These are the keys to being a Kingdom person!
