Brian Ferris leads our Faith Finders, as well as teaches 5th & 6th grade Sunday School. The Goal of this group is to grow closer to Jesus Christ through learning of the word and applying it as they work together to serve the church and community. Brian and his team of helpers work hard to get these preteens ready for Jr. High Youth Group. They participate in many of the same activities as the High School Youth Group on a level geared more toward their age and interest.
A few of the annual activities include:
30 hour famine (Rather than abstain from food for 30 hours, kids abstain from all types of media for 30 hours. This time is spent going through a series of bible learning activities and community service projects)
Chicago Missions Trip:
In conjunction with the Youth With a Mission organization, kids plan & work to raise funds for a 5 day missions trip geared especially for their age group.
Monthly activities help the kids stay acquainted outside of regular church time. You can get a calendar of upcoming activities and/or learn more about Faith Finders by contacting Brian at the church.
Led by Youth Pastor James Beavers, with the assistance of his wife, Beth, and Larry & Claudia Linsley.
The entire group meets on Sunday evenings from 5– 7 P.M. in the youth room. There is a time of recreation & fellowship, praise & worship with music, and Bible teaching.
