Greetings all! I enjoyed my Memorial Day/Decoration Day weekend very much. The day off was nice and I spent it with family at my in-law's house. Alex enjoyed his first ever holiday and he was pooped by the end of it. I hope your day off (if you got one) was enjoyable and relaxing.
I also got a couple of comments from some of you that my sermon this week contained a whole lot of information that came at you a bit too fast. I am sorry for this, but the sermons for this study are, for lack of a better term, "pre-made." I have a lot of information to sift through and so much of it is excellent enough for me to want to share with you. Please be in prayer that God will give me wisdom on what is most important for us as we go through this study.
But I hope that you are beginning to see the importance of this study. We are to be kingdom people who embrace His mission, embody His name and obey His Word. If we are not, we missing the "treasure" that we talked about this week.
God is much more interested in helping us at our point of need than giving us what we want. God knows so much better than we do what we need. So trust Him today. He's got it all figured out and He's placing you in situations that either He can use you, or He can teach you. Be willing to do either.
I'll be blogging more here and at http://www.kingdomperson.blogspot.com/. Please take time to go there and see other posts that will deal in more detail about what God is dealing with in me.
I love you all and pray for you often. God bless and we'll see you on Sunday (if not sooner!).
For His Kingdom,
Pastor Jim
